Judi's autobiography of Cork 'n Fork

After a holiday with my husband Peter to Tasmania we returned home to our respectful jobs. I was a registered nurse and working as a Liasion Officer for Beaudesert Hospital as well as working as Practice Nurse manager of a very busy medical practice, Peter was working as the CEO of Beaudesert Hospital.
I came home after only my first shift back in tears very despondant and wanting a new direction. I only know how to do 2 things look after people and drink wine!! So after some thought Peter said he would support me if I could get finance to purchase a bus to start up a wine tour business. After 48 hours I had $50,000.00 to spend and bought my first bus a 14 seater Toyota Hi Ace. I asked smart license about all the requirement and set to the beginnings of Cork 'n Fork Winery Tours. This was in the year 2000.
Our first official tour was the 3.3.2001 although we had unoffically commenced before this but with business planning, licensing requirements and getting our first customers all took approx 6 months.
